Welcome to Thrift n’ Sip Café, where great coffee meets affordable finds.
Thrift n’ Sip Café began with a simple idea: to give people a better way to donate clothes and enjoy a great cup of coffee while doing it. Founder Giannie Nuñez noticed that many friends and family had gently used clothing they no longer wanted but didn’t trust donation bins, worried the items would end up in landfills.
She created Thrift n’ Sip Café as a community-driven space where clothing can be upcycled with purpose and people can relax in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The shop is a true family effort, run alongside her husband José and son Isaiah, with love poured into every detail, from the handmade bar to the curated thrift racks.
This is more than just a café or thrift shop – it’s a labor of love built by family, for the community.

Welcome to Thrift n’ Sip Café – where community, sustainability, and great drinks come together under one roof.
Our story began with a simple mission: to make donating and shopping for secondhand clothing easier, more trustworthy, and more joyful. At Thrift n’ Sip, you can drop off gently used clothing knowing it will be loved again – and sip on your favorite coffee drink or bubble tea while you’re at it.
From the coffee bar to the clothing racks, everything here has been shaped by family hands. Owners Giannie Vidal and José Vidal lead the charge, with Giannie managing the thrift shop and José running the café. Their son Isaiah, who’s quickly becoming the resident bubble tea master, works behind the counter alongside other dedicated family members and baristas – keeping the space buzzing, brewing, and welcoming.
We’re proud to be a truly family-run business rooted in Richmond Hill, Queens. Every piece of clothing, every cup of coffee, and every small detail is a reflection of our love for this community.

About Our Founder
After over a decade working as a paraprofessional, Giannie Vidal made the bold decision to step away from her career in education to pursue something deeply personal. She noticed just how many people, herself included, had perfectly good clothing sitting unused in their closets, and how many others didn’t trust where their donations ended up. That realization sparked a vision: to create a welcoming space where people could upcycle with purpose. Thrift n’ Sip Café is the result of that vision. From curating donations to connecting with customers, she’s passionate about making sustainable fashion accessible – and keeping the neighborhood stylish.

Donate 10 items = 15% off

Donate 15 or more items = 20% off
Discount valid on one transaction per day. No matter how much you donate, 20% is the max discount per visit. All items must be clean, wearable, and gently used.
